All you have to do is spend some time on Pinterest to get an idea how hot the bar cart has become. They are everywhere. Take a home tour of any random blogger and sure enough there is a bar cart all prettied up for the camera. They add a certain coolness to any space and seem to say “fun lives here!”
Oh and they are a blast to accessorize. When I styled my cart for the blog photos I was like a kid in a candy store. In addition to the typical barware items, you can play around with colorful candles, coffee table books, artwork, decorative bowls, fresh flowers, decorative trays, and funky lamps. The best part? “Less is More” does not apply here. The more you pile on, the better the bar cart looks.
Sure you could take one trip to Home Goods and fill your cart with all kinds of fun accessories-but what’s the fun in that? All of the bar carts that catch my eye seem to mix the old with the new giving it that eclectic and collected look. It’s kinda like you are a world traveler and have filled your cart with things you have collected along the way. Things that are conversation pieces. You don’t have the time or funds to travel the globe hunting for treasures? That’s ok you can do what most of us do and explore Etsy, Goodwill, E-bay, and thrift stores.
I did most of the work for you and came up with an array of both vintage and new items that any bar cart would be proud to display. The vintage items are one of a kind pieces and may not still be available(as of this morning they were but ya never know) Most of them will be linked to an Etsy store where you probably will find alternative items you may love even more. Please see the links that are listed below the picture collage..
10. Vintage Matches
Please let me know if you guys happen to snatch up any of the lovely pieces I highlighted here and what you thought off the Etsy shops.. I could get caught up in Etsy shopping for days at a time and not come up for air. It’s totally addicting but oh so fun!
