Etsy Favorites #2

Today is “Round Two” of my Etsy Favorites Series.   Basically it’s where I fill you guys in on a few of my favorite go to Etsy shops of the moment.  Please note that just because they are a” favorite” of mine does not necessarily mean I have personally purchased anything from each and every one.  Some I have and some I just drool over and wait for that perfect opportunity to arise…   In case you missed the first round of my favorite Etsy shops you can find that here.

My love for Etsy has gotten to the point where it’s the first place I look for many items I am looking to purchase.  Whether its throw pillows, fun jewelry, art, all kinds of gifts, etc.  I love how unique the items are and I really like to support independent artisans rather then big retail chains.  The customer service nine out of ten times is amazing.  If you have a question you can actually e-mail the seller and usually within 24 hours you will get an e-mail response back.

The only drawback to Etsy is that it can be a huge “time suck.”  Like before you know it a couple of hours have passed and you are still happily browsing away…

Here are a few of my latest Etsy obsessions..

Etsy Clare Elsaesser 3
I adore all of the work from the talented artist, Clare Elsaesser.  You will find a gorgeous array of both original paintings as well as prints.  There are many portraits and other art inspired by both the sea and night.  Here are a few more of her lovely pieces.  Be sure to check out her shop on Etsy in order to see all of her beautiful work.

Etsy Lucent 8 arm chandy
You would never know looking at all of these grand pieces, that they are made in a little shop right here in the USA,  in Phoenix, AZ.   Lucent Light Shop has grown to be one of the most coveted makers of Sputnik lighting in the US.  Their main material of choice is brass.  In addition to what they have in inventory they also will take on custom orders as well.

I’m a sucker for unique and pretty doggie gear.  Nothing is too good for our 8 year old Golden Retriever, Penny!  The Etsy shop Mimi Green is well known for their super cute  dog collars.  Each collar is unique and can be personalized just for your dog.  They come in a wide variety of designer patterns and fabrics.

Ana Osgood Jewelry is a perfect example of why I love Etsy so much.  Nothing about her bracelets are “run of the mill’ or the “same old same old”.  All of her pieces that are made out of leather, studded, and woven fabric  are unique and one-of-a-kind.  Somehow she manages to keep her prices very affordable even though only the best quality materials are used.

Etsy Tribalover small duffel

Tribalover is a stylish hippie bag and accessory line that is based in Thailand.  All of the pieces are inspired by the beautiful and fun lifestyle in Thailand as well as out of love and respect for the traditional indigenous way of life there.  You will find high quality handmade items here such as pouches, wallets, pillow covers, duffel bags, hats, back packs, totes, and cross body bags.    Most of them are adorned with tribal patterns and arts, which really appeals to my hippie like soul.  Oh and the prices are amazing! You really can’t find anything close to the quality of these items for the price at any retail store that I know of.

Etsy Atlas Artisans pom pom blankets

When I first came across the above striped pom pom blanket I was completely smitten.  In my mind I just had to get it in the king size for the bed in our master bedroom.  The oversized pom poms in alternating black and white, the crisp stripes, the texture, everything about it I love.  I made myself slow down and to think about it.  I decided to hold off because in the very near future we are going to be updating our bedroom and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to commit to working the entire room around this blanket.  So I’m going to hold off and see what direction the room takes me.  The good news is it comes in a variety of colors…one is bound to work out in there right?

This artisan workshop in Marrakesh also makes beautiful poufs, kilims, and other textiles as well as carries a selection of vintage items such as Handira  Moroccan Wedding Blankets, Ben Ourain Moroccan rugs, Azilal Moroccan Berber Rugs, Boucherouite Moroccan Rugs, and Zemmour Moroccan Berber Rugs.

So there you have it.  Do yourselves a favor and check out these wonderfully, unique Etsy Shops and get lost for a couple of hours.  It will do your little shopaholic hearts some good…
