I wanted to show you guys my over the top, professional outside Halloween decorations. Kids from all over line up to see the spookiness every year. Only kidding. Fancy they are not but we think they’re cool so that’s what matters. The tombstones we have had for a good 10 plus years. My son actually made them with his own two little six year old hands.
Now here is the kicker our last name is Voorhees. You know like Jason Voorhees in the” Friday the 13th” movies. I love it when people who are clueless about the movies think we are morbid for having a tombstone with our name on it.
Anyone who doesn’t know who Jason Voorhees is, deserves to be freaked out as far as I’m concerned.
Every year we add to our little graveyard. This year the skulls are the newest addition.
Aww I just noticed our pup Penny peeking out of the window…..
It’s much cooler at night with the grave yard entrance lit up in orange lights and on Halloween night we get the fog machine rolling with spooky music playing, My husband loves to tell how when he was a kid his father would dress up with a hockey mask on and jump out of the bushes and chase the trick or treaters down the street with his plastic ax. Good times. Normally my father in law was the nicest, mild mannered guy you could ever meet but on Halloween it was a different story….
and then there is Marcus the Carcass…..
